| | - Names – Please write your name very carefully and clearly.
- Addresses – Please fill out this part of the form very carefully. It is extremely important, as we need to be able to contact you both before and after the examination.
The first address is where you would like us to send your receipt and your timetable and should be the address where you will be staying before the examination.
The second address is where you would like your results and certificate to be sent. If you have plans to travel after the exams, please put the address of a reliable person who will be able to receive your certificate and pass it on to you, or your home address so it is there when you return.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you would like your results and certificate sent to an overseas address, you will need to include an extra $20AUD with your enrolment to cover the cost of the registered postage of these documents. - Contact details – please give us as much contact information as possible. Email addresses are particularly useful when students move around or for any communication before and after the examination.

| Before the exams |
| On the day Photo identification and candidate number Please bring some form of photo identification to each of your examinations.
Please make sure you know your candidate number which is on your timetable. Your desk will have this number on it and you must sit at that desk. The supervisors will help you find it.
|
| Equipment You will need to bring a lead pencil, an eraser and an ink pen. There are certain parts of the examination that must be completed in pencil, not ink. Correction fluid/tape is allowed in some parts of the examination provided your answers are easy to read, but it is never allowed on the orange computer answer sheets.
Bringing mobile phones to an exam is discouraged.
IF you bring a mobile
phone, it must be SWITCHED OFF and LEFT WITH YOUR BELONGINGS. You should take a pen, pencil, rubber and your photo identification with you to your desk. You may also take still water in a bottle with a secure lid. No paper, notes, books, calculators or any other items are allowed on the desks and all bags must go to the back of the room, not on the floor near your chair.
|
| Extra time
- At the end of the listening paper only, you will receive a fixed period of extra time to transfer your answers from the question booklet to your computer answer sheet.
- For the written examinations (Reading, Writing and Use of English) there
is no extra time given to any candidate. You must attempt to complete your examination within the time limit. You will not be allowed any extra time to transfer your answers.
- Warnings are given at intervals prior to the end of the examination by the supervisors informing you of the remaining time. You must not continue writing after the supervisor tells you to stop. Failure to do so can result in your examination being disqualified.
|
| Draft copies - Candidates often want to write a draft copy of their written papers and then write it out again on the answer paper. You may do this but there are no provisions for extra time to finish writing out a final copy, and you risk not completing the exam in the time allowed.
- You can just write one copy and make corrections to it.
|
| Corrections - Corrections can be made with correction fluid/tape in the writing paper only. You can also neatly cross out any mistakes. No marks will be deducted for work with parts crossed out.
|
| Spare paper - Spare paper will not be made available in the Writing examination. You must write your answers in the booklet provided.
There are several spare pages at the back of the answer booklet for Writing on which any rough notes or draft copies can be made.
